Fifteen of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division II softball teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or
graduate school. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.929.
The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance
structure to assist the College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Division II
Academic All-America® program.
Division III
Saathoff, a junior first baseman from Philomath, Oregon, maintains a 4.0 GPA as a mathematics and physics double major. Starting in 52 of
54 games, she compiled a 1.242 OPS, hit .479 with one home run, 18 stolen bases in 18 attempts, 23 doubles, 43 RBI and 71 runs scored in
leading Linfield to a 50-4 record and third place showing at the NCAA Division III Championship tournament. The Wildcats won their first 44
games and became the second team in collegiate softball history to register an unbeaten regular season.
Saathoff is the first repeat Elite 90 Award winner in Division III softball. She earned second team NFCA All-America honors for the second
straight season and is a two-time NFCA All-Region X first team selection. Saathoff made a repeat appearance on the All-Northwest
Conference first team list. She hit .504, the only conference player over .500, and tallied a conference-high 64 hits and 19 doubles.
Twelve of the 33 members of the Academic All-America® Division II softball teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or
graduate school. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.94.
In addition to Saathoff, 10 additional student-athletes are repeat selections on the Academic All-America® Division III softball team – Anna
Jackson and Morgan Frye (Berry College), Karson Bagelmann (Adrian College), KaiLi Gross (Case Western Reserve University), Abby Mace
(Salisbury University), Mary Frances Eillis (East Texas Baptist University), Kaci Neveling (The College of New Jersey), Mackenzie Latess
(Westminster College), Mackenzie Bivin (MIT), and Ashlyn Strother (Texas Lutheran University). Gross, Mace and Strother are three-time
selections.

NAIA
Mick is a graduate student from Klamath Falls, Oregon, and maintains a 3.88 GPA in dental hygiene. The 2024 Cascade Conference (CCC)
Player of the Year from her shortstop position led the Lady Owls to a 49-12 record, 24-3 conference record and fourth-place finish at the
NAIA Softball World Series. Mick was a three-time NFCA All-American and NAIA All-American performer for Oregon Tech, and a four-time
NFCA All-Region pick, All-CCC first team selection, and conference All-Academic team member. She was named to the NAIA Scholar-Athlete
teams on two occasions.
Mick became the eighth consensus first-team All-American in program history - with OIT recording a consensus first-team pick for the fifth-
straight year, joining her mom Brenda (Ruppel) Mick, who earned the distinction in 1998. The Tech shortstop had a remarkable final year in the
program, hitting .455 with five home runs and 62 RBI, setting school records with 25 doubles and 11 triples, while establishing new Cascade
Conference records for hits and runs scored in a career and setting a new NAIA record for games played and at bats.
Five of the 23 members of the Academic All-America® NAIA softball teams boast a perfect 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate
school. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.90.
In addition to Mick, six additional student-athletes are repeat selections on the Academic All-America® NAIA softball team – Carly Oliver
(University of the Cumberlands), Emily Prai and Aliyah Rincon (Midland University), Lexi Klum (Oregon Tech), Shannon McAlinden
(Concordia University Ann Arbor), and Kayla Dreese (Our Lady of the Lake University).
