James Brown, Renowned Sports Broadcaster, to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
Ceremony to be Held at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall
New York, NY – April 9, 2024—The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS)
today announced the nominees for the 45th Annual Sports Emmy® Awards ceremony, which will
take place on Tuesday, May 21, at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, Broadway at
60th Street, New York City.
“This year’s sports broadcasting nominees produced thrilling and captivating television,” said
Adam Sharp, President & CEO, NATAS. “We look forward to welcoming these exceptional
professionals to the 45th Annual Sports Emmy Awards in May.”
“The Sports Emmy Awards are proud to recognize the outstanding work of this year’s nominees
and to honor James Brown for his long and prolific career,” added Stephen Head, Head of Sports.
Nominations were announced in 46 categories, including Outstanding Live Special and Live
Series, four Documentary categories, Journalism, Public Service Content, and Esports Coverage,
Outstanding Studio Host, Event Analyst, and Emerging On-Air Talent, among others. The firm of
Lutz & Carr, LLP, provides accounting services for the competition.
