FANS 2023 HOLIDAY PARTY!
It's that time of year again! FANS Foundation is excited to host our annual
Holiday party for newcomers at Jelly Modern Doughnuts in Calgary (1414 8th
St SW) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27. RSVP now for
a day of doughnut decorating, pizza, games, crafts, and prizes!

WINTER SPORTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR NEWCOMERS
We are excited to announce several new sports opportunities for this Winter
season! Remember, spots in these opportunities are first come, first serve, so
let us know ASAP if you would like to participate by filling out this form and a
member of the FANS team will be in touch with more details! Stay tuned to our
newsletters, social media, and website for more announcements of
opportunities in the new year!

Aforza Tennis
- Aforza Tennis is offering 4-day tennis camps from December 26th - 29th and January 2nd

Bolder Climbing
- Bolder Climbing is offering complimentary registration in Bolder Kids Climb,
recommended for youth ages 7-15. These sessions are weekly from 6-8pm on Mondays at
Bolder Climbing Elevated (12686 48th St SE).
- Bolder Climbing also is providing free drop-in passes and equipment rental for
newcomers who want to give climbing a try by themselves!
Breathe Parkour
- Breathe Parkour is providing a 3-day camp from December 27th - 29th and a 4-day camp
from January 2nd - 5th at 401 33 St NE Unit 8.
Calgary Central Sportsplex
- Calgary Central Sportsplex is providing Multisport Camps from December 27th - 29th and
January 2nd - 5th for ages 6-13 at 401 33 St NE Unit 8.
Champion Karate Club
- Champion Karate Club is offering free memberships for newcomers. Their gym is at
12686 48th St SE and available age groups are 4-6 years, 7-12 years, and 12 years to
adult.
Stryker Sports
- Details about Stryker Sports volleyball and basketball camp spots for mid-January will be
coming soon, stay tuned!
Tucker Hockey
- Tucker Hockey is offering PD day sessions for newcomers ages 9 and above with prior
hockey experience and full hockey gear.
SAVE THE DATE FOR UPCOMING FANS EVENTS!
FANS HOCKEY 101 GAMEDAY WITH THE CALGARY CANUCKS
We cannot wait to host a Hockey 101 game day with the Calgary Canucks of
the AJHL on Sunday January 28 at Max Bell Centre Ken Bracko Arena (1221
Barlow Trail SE). Join an exclusive pre-game reception for FANS newcomers at
1:15 pm where the Canucks will provide a Hockey 101 session to introduce us
to the sport! Then, enjoy free tickets to the Canucks game at 2 pm and tasty
concession snacks! Stay tuned for more details and information on how to save
your spot!
CALGARY DINOS FREE TICKETS
FANS is delighted to introduce a new partnership with the University of Calgary Dinos
where newcomers can receive free tickets to ANY Dinos sports game this Winter Semester

FANS SOCCER EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
FANS had an awesome soccer event last Thursday December 14 with the
Calgary Rangers. Coaches Ash and Matt introduced our newcomers to soccer
with lessons on dribbling, passing, and shooting. It was a great time of learning,
fun, and tasty snacks at the end! We look forward to hosting more soccer
sessions soon, stay tuned for details!

Celebrate the Holiday season with FANS! Please email us a photo of you participating in a
sport this year or celebrating the holidays for a chance to receive a free box of 6 holiday
doughnuts from our partners at Jelly Modern Doughnuts! Please note that photos may be
used in FANS promotional materials.
LOOKING FOR NEW EQUIPMENT, SPOT IN A CAMP OR TICKETS TO A GAME?
Email us about a sports opportunity you are interested in and we will do our best to secure
it for you. Or just tell us what sport you want to learn and we'll find a way to support you.
We also have a large supply of skates, hockey equipment, and other sports equipment
available for free upon request!
