Maggie Alford
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (ACM40412)
Maggie always knew she wanted a career which involved
animals and believes she has now found the right path.
Initially studying another pathway at university, she says
her ‘heart’ told her she was destined to work with animals.
Research into careers involving animals, led to a desire to
pursue veterinary nursing as she was intrigued by a job
which incorporates a relationship with both the client and
their pet. Maggie says she would eventually love to pass on
her knowledge to upcoming veterinary nurses entering the
industry, as well as any future trainees at her workplace.
Currently loving her work at Bentons Road Veterinary
Clinic in Mt Martha, Maggie says that in the future she
would like to expand her knowledge in the industry and
become an accredited veterinary nurse.
