NEW App Development with
Swift Success Story
A new success story has been completed for the App Development with
Swift program. We encourage you to read and share this new success story
about Miami Dade College in Florida.
Miami Dade College has offered iOS app development courses since Fall
2014 to help students build coding skills to prepare for careers in the app
economy. Faculty decided to adopt the Develop in Swift curriculum from
Apple and App Development with Swift certifications administered by
Certiport to help students learn Swift and earn recognition to stand out
among app developers to establish a path to job placement. At the end of
the first term, following the Develop in Swift course, 64 students took the
App Development with Swift Associate or App Development with Swift
Certified User exam. The program increased enrollment by 350% this year,
and the courses are now structured to support various learning styles to
further build student success.

New from CCI Learning:
Xperience ED
Certiport is excited to share the great news that CCI Learning recently
launched their new kinesthetic learning platform, Xperience ED. Xperience
ED, also known as XED, was designed to enable teachers and students to
‘Experience Education Differently’.
XED is a browser-based learning platform that allows access from
anywhere, at any time and on any device, including PC, Mac, Chromebook,
and mobile phones. It is LTI compliant and integrates with LMS systems
such as Canvas and Blackboard. XED is integrated with GMetrix, customers
will enjoy a single sign-on experience.
There are four XED courses now available in English:
• Microsoft Fundamentals: Azure Fundamentals AZ-900
• IT Specialist: Python
• IT Specialist: HTML & CSS
• PMI: Project Management Ready

Specialist Championship Updates
Each year, Certiport hosts the Microsoft Office Specialist Championships.
These competitions provide opportunities for students to win scholarships,
meet new friends, and earn the title of Champion. To qualify and compete in
2024, students must earn a certification in PowerPoint, Word, or Excel in the
following versions:
• Office 2019
• Microsoft 365 Apps
Students will no longer be eligible to compete in Office 2016. If you have
