5 Hours, one on one Practical Lessons
The practical training part culminates in
a skills test which is carried out with a
Designated Flight Examiner (DFE), who
will recommend issuance of the RPL
upon successful completion.
REMOTE PILOT LICENSE
(MR)
The Remote Pilot License (RPL) training course is one of the key
requirements for anyone looking to work as a commercial drone
pilot. The training course is generally 2-3 weeks long divided into
two parts:
PART 1: GROUND SCHOOL
A full week of classroom training– followed by exams and
proficiency tests (8 days). Theory training is conducted at our
state-of-the-art Pride Centre located in Embakasi.
Once all theory training has been covered, students will be
required to complete and pass multiple-choice exams
based on the modules. The pass mark is 75%
PART 2: FLIGHT TRAINING
Practical sessions to build students’ skill level and improve
flying ability on the Multirotor type UAS. The sessions are
carried out one-on-one with an instructor, for a minimum of
5 hours.
The practical component takes about 1-2 weeks to
complete, depending on your skill level and weather
conditions.
COST: KES 200,000. Incl. VAT.
What’s Included?
All ground school lectures including material required for classroom learning.
Flight training on Approved simulators and RPAS with Approved instructor.
RPL application to the CAA and license collection.

What's not included
Class 3 Medical Certificate (About KES 10,000 -KES 11,000 and usually takes half a day to be completed.).
* A class 3 medical certificate can only be issued by a KCAA designated Aviation Medical Examiner.
