Compliance Based Removal
TCA 55-10-425
(Only applies to clients who were arrested of a DUI July 1, 2016 and beyond)
1. Client will receive a Final Calibration Letter from TNRemoval@SmartStartInc.com within 3 business days after
day 366.
2. Client is to call local service center to schedule a final calibration service. The client MUST bring the Final
Calibration Letter to the appointment (printed or electronic).
3. Smart Start’s system runs an automated check for any violations.
If there are no violations(s)
If violation(s) are found
4. The client will receive Removal Authorization
Form from TNRemoval@SmartStartInc.com within
3 business days.
4. If there are violation(s), the client will receive a
Noncompliance Notice Form from
TNRemoval@SmartstartInc.com within 3 business
days.
5. Client takes the Removal Authorization Form to
the DMV to obtain VALID Driver License. (There
CANNOT be a restriction code 15 or 16 on your
license.)
5. Your next final calibration date is indicated on
the Noncompliance Notice Form as “date of next
final review”.
6. Client emails TNRemoval@SmartStartInc.com
indicating that a VALID Driver License was
obtained, and we release your conditions in our
system.
6. Client must call service center to make
appointment for their next final calibration on or
after “date of next final review”. (Client is still
required to come in for monthly calibration
appointments)
7. Upon receipt of email stating you have been
released, please your service center to schedule a
removal appointment.
7. Client must take the Noncompliance Notice to
the 2
nd
final calibration (printed or electronic).
There is no cost for the final calibration after day 366.
The client must pay $75 for removal.
Make sure you have an accurate email address on your file.

If you do not receive an email, please contact us at [email protected] with your name, driver
license number, installation date and arrest date.
Monthly lease fee applies if extended due to court order, noncompliance or voluntary
