Directions
From San Francisco (approx. 4 hours):
• Take I-80 East
• Entering Sacramento, merge onto US-50 East to South Lake Tahoe
• At the second stoplight in South Lake Tahoe, stay straight to go onto
CA-89 / Emerald Bay Road
• Pass Camp Richardson and just after the Camp Richardson Corral, turn left on Fallen Leaf
Road (across the street from the sign that says Tallac Historic Site)
• Follow road 5 miles, past the public marina, until you reach the fire station and paved bridge.
Cross over the bridge to enter Stanford Sierra Camp
• Continue on the road to the Main Lodge and follow signs to office and registration.
From the Reno / Tahoe Airport (approx. 1.5 hours):
• Take the first right onto East Plumb Lane
• Cross under the freeway and turn left onto I-580 South
• Continue on I-580 South for 29 miles
• Take Exit 38 at Fairview Drive and turn right to stay on Fairview Drive.
• After 1.1. miles turn left onto S Carson Street
• Turn right onto US-50 West (Spooner Summit) to South Lake Tahoe
• Turn right onto CA-89/ Emerald Bay Road
• Pass Camp Richardson and just after the Camp Richardson Corral, turn left on Fallen Leaf
