FOOD FOR SENIorS
Food for Seniors provides
monthly nutritional food boxes
to seniors who are 60 years
old or older and meet federal
income guidelines. Catholic
Charities Food for Seniors is the
sole agency of Louisianas Commodity Supplemental
Food Program (CSFP).
Food For Seniors currently holds food box distribu-
tions throughout all 64 Louisiana parishes, with more
than 40 sites in Orleans and Jeerson parishes. Perma-
nent distribution sites are:
Our Lady Star of the Sea, 1927 St. Roch Ave.,
New Orleans, LA
Distributions are held on Tuesday/Thursday, 9 AM –
12PM from the 1st – 24th of the month.
West Bank Commodity Center, 1245 First Ave.,
Harvey, LA
Distributions are held on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/
Friday, 9 AM – 2 PM, and Wednesday 12PM – 5 PM.
Catholic Charities, St. Lawrence Campus, 2505 Maine

Distributions are held on Monday/Wednesday, 8:30 AM
– 12 PM

the USDAs Summer Food
Service Program (SFSP).
SFSP is a federally-funded,
state-administered program
that reimburses providers
who serve free, nutritious
meals and snacks to chil-
dren and teens in low-in-
come areas when school is
not in session.
Louisiana has nearly 900
summer meal sites serving
more than 3.5 million meals
each summer to children in
communities throughout
the state.
