Standard Fees for Tour Guide and Interpreter
True Japan Tour Co., Ltd. is affiliated to IJCEE (Institute for Japanese Culture Experience and Education), the largest
guide association in Japan with more than 1800 guides as its member. Making it possible to arrange guides and interpreters
throughout Japan who are skilled in more than one foreign language.
True Japan Tour Co., Ltd. provide guide and/or interpreter services based on prices listed in the below tables.
Please send your inquiry to [email protected]om stating your desired date, guiding duty (as tour guide or as
interpreter), itinerary, number of tour participants, preferred means of transportation, and other information. The more
detailed, the more your future guides understand their tasks.
*The price table below is the basic rates, subject to change, based on requested inquiries.

<Expenses when Traveling & Special Requests >
Clients are required to cover the guide/interpreter’s travelling expenses. Including last minute additional
arrangement/request accordingly.
1. [Transportation]
-All transportation costs for clients and guide during tour
- Guide’s transportation cost from/to their residence to/from meeting & tour ending point
*For following regions, transportation cost is included in Guide Fee.
Tokyo: Hotels / requested location within 10-minute walking distance of stations on JR Yamanote Line.
Kansai area: Major stations and its neighborhood in Kyoto and Osaka.
*Transportation costs in any regions other than Tokyo and Kansai will be quoted based on request.
2. [Meals]
Meal allowances will be charged when the guide/interpreter working hour is hitting breakfast/lunch/dinner time.
Breakfast: 1,000 JPY / Lunch: 1,500 JPY / Dinner: 2,000 JPY.
3. [Late Night/Early Morning]
When guide/interpreter service is required to be conducted at late night or early morning hour (22:00PM~ 6:59AM),
an additional of JPY1200/hour will be charged.
4. [Off Hour Meeting]
In case a meeting between tour guide and clients before/after the actual tour date is necessary, a JPY 3,000/hour +
guide’s transportation cost will be charged
5. [VIP]
Additional of 20% from the guide fee (before tax) will be added when VIP treatment is requested. Only
experienced guides will be assigned for VIP clients.
6. [Guide/Interpreter Designation]
Additional fee may be occurred when clients wish to designate a specific guide.
7. [Last Minute Inquiries]
Additional charges will be applied for last minute inquiries.
8. [Other Requests]
Other requests will be quoted based on availability for each inquiry.
<Cancellation Policy>
Cancellation charges will apply when the notification of cancellation is received:
(1) 14-3 days before the tour day: 20 % of the total fee.
(2) 2 days before the tour day: 50 % of the total fee.
(3) 1 day before, on the tour day, or cancellation without notice: 100 % of the total fee.
