Investments:
Understand the various approaches to selecting and timing investment opportunities. Through a trading simulation, students learn
more about common stocks, bonds, commodities, and options.
Energy and Valuation:
Analyze the oil, gas, and power of industries. Use energy specific case studies to understand financial statements, valuation, risks
in capital budgeting, risk management, and alternative energy topics.
Banking Strategies and Policies:
Weekly topical discussions on current issues affecting the banking industry, using the Wall Street Journal as a source. These
discussions include money laundering, mergers and acquisitions, ethics and regulations, as well as economic issues hurting or
helping the banking sector.
Real Estate Investment and Finance:
Using the Wall Street Journal as a source, students learn about residential and commercial real estate trends, laws, ethics, and
global investors affecting the U.S. real estate market. Students use an analytical tool provided to OSU by Fundrise, a leader in
crowd sourced commercial real estate investment, to analyze commercial real estate opportunities.
