• The Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) will satisfy all Madonna University Core Courses. MTA does not
satisfy Madonna University Signature Courses.
• Madonna University will transfer a maximum of 74 credits from community colleges towards the
minimum total of 120 semester hours needed for a first Bachelor degree. Courses must be approved for
transfer, non-remedial and have a grade above a 2.0 (“C”) or higher. Students pursuing a course of study
under an existing articulation agreement should contact Madonna University’s Articulation Specialist,
cdriscoll@madonna.edu
in the Office of the Registrar to discuss approved and maximum credit
allowances.
• Students who are pursuing or who have earned the MACRAO Transfer Agreement should contact
Madonna University, as the requirements in the Core Curriculum will vary.

Admission into the Nursing program
Admission into pre-nursing does not guarantee admission into the Nursing program. Pre-nursing students
must apply for admission to the nursing program by specific deadlines.
Stage One - Pre-Nursing
Transfer Student Admission Requirements:
• Recalculated overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Grade of C or higher in algebra, biology and chemistry
Stage Two – Nursing
A separate, competitive application is required for nursing admission, which includes a minimum of the
following:
• Prerequisite courses completed
• Must have been accepted into pre-nursing
• Madonna GPA of 3.0 or higher which include a minimum of 12 semester hours
• Letter of intent
• Satisfactory entrance test scores
Academic Excellence Policy for Pre-Nursing
Pre-nursing students who receive more than one grade below “C” in specific support courses will not be
considered for the upper division major. These unsatisfactory grades are considered for the purpose of the
academic excellence policy; even after the course is repeated successfully, students will not be considered for
the nursing major.
Deadline for Stage Two Nursing Admission:
Fall—January 31
