ACCOUNTING & TAX PROGRAM
The accounting program at MiraCosta is designed to provide
relevant instruction in the accounting profession both for
transfer and the bookkeeping and tax preparation elds.
The program gives students the theoretical and hands-on
experience needed to establish and advance their career.
With exible courses that meet days, evenings, weekends, and
online. Experienced instructors bring the subject matter to life
and provide a rewarding educational experience.
Courses include nancial and managerial accounting;
individual tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll;
as well as business taxation and IRS tax volunteer preparation.
Students take accounting and tax program courses to
prepare for the major, complete job-related certicates, earn
continuing education units

for professional licenses,
and fulll general education requirements.
