THE SERIES
This will be fth meeting between Fordham and Monmouth on the gridiron.
The Hawks lead the all-time series, 3-1.
Monmouth took the last two meetings, including a 24-23 win on Jack Coey
Field last year on September 11 as Juwon Farri rushed 31 times for 156 yards and
one touchdown for the Hawks while Tim DeMorat completed 27 of 49 passes for
352 yards and three scores for the Rams.
• The Hawks took the rst matchup, 23-9, in 2006, but Fordham won the second,
54-31, in 2015, with both games being played on Jack Coey Field.
• Monmouth is in its rst year as a member of the CAA, having played football in
the Big South Conference from 2014-2021.

RAMS LOOKING FOR 2-0 START
• With a win at Monmouth, Fordham will open the season 2-0 for the rst time
since 2013 when the Rams opened with wins over Rhode Island and Villanova.
• It would also mark the rst time the Rams opened 2-0 with both wins on the
road since 1951 when Fordham defeated Missouri and Dartmouth on the road to
open the season.
• The last time Fordham won its st two road games in a season was 2015 when
the Rams defeated Lafayette and Penn on the road after playing the rst three
games at home.

FORDHAM IN SEASON OPENERS
• The Fordham University Rams are now 50-35 all-time in season openers since 1920,
11-23 since moving to the NCAA FCS in 1989.
• The season-opening win at Wagner snapped a six-game losing streak for the Rams in
season openers.
• Prior to the six-game losing streak, the Rams had taken the four previous season open-
ers.
• On Jack Coey Field, Fordham is 23-31 since 1970 in home openers but the Rams have
won seven of their past eleven home openers.
THE BOROUGHS
• The game at Wagner on September 1 was be Fordham’s rst
on Staten Island since a game with the Seahawks in 1984 and
was the Rams’ fth game played on the island.
• Fordham is 2-3 all-time on Staten Island with all four games
coming at Wagner.
• The Rams have also played in Manhattan (Polo Grounds,
Randall’s Island), Queens (St. John’s), and of course, the
Bronx, but have never played a game in Brooklyn (at least
since 1920).
FORDHAM IS WINNINGEST
NYC COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM
• No New York area college football team has won more
games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 65 victo-
ries over that stretch.
• The closest collegiate competitors are Sacred Heart (60), Stony Brook (58), and Rutgers
(44), while the NFLs Giants lead all NYC area professional teams with 61 wins over the
past eleven years and the Jets have 54.
RAMS WIN SIX STRAIGHT
• The loss to Holy Cross last November snapped a six-game Fordham winning streak.
• It was the longest streak since 2015 when the Rams ran o six straight on their way to a
9-3 season.
FORDHAM OFFENSE FIRING ON ALL CYLINDERS
• Over the six-game winning streak last year, the Fordham oense was in high gear.
After scoring 31 in the win at Stony Brook, the oense turned it up a notch, scoring 42,
Fordham senior quarterback Tim
DeMorat was named GEICO Patriot
League Oensive Player of the Week
when the League office announced
honors on Monday.
In a 48-31 season-opening win at
Wagner on Thursday night, DeMorat,
the Patriot League preseason oensive
player of the year, accounted for six
of the seven Fordham touchdowns.
He completed 18 of 25 passes for 386
yards and ve touchdowns and ran
for another score. It was his eleventh
career 300-yard passing game.
DeMorat, who earned weekly honors for the sixth time over the past two years, ranks second
in career completions (724), career passing yards (8,949), and career touchdown passes (72), and
sixth in completion percentage (.598) at Fordham. He needs one touchdown pass to tie the school
record of 73, set by Kevin Anderson (2014-2017).

Did You Know?
Fordham Appeared in the First Televised
College Football Game Over 80 Years Ago
On September 30, 1939, Fordham hosted
Waynesburg College at Triboro Stadium on
Randall’s Island. The game was the season
opener for the Rams, who beat Waynesburg,
34-7. Announcer Bill Stern called the
contest over station W2XBS (now WNBC)
as a demonstration of this new medium at
the World’s Fair. Two iconoscope cameras,
which had just been patented by RCA, were
used to televise the game with the images
being sent to a relay station 10 miles from the stadium and then, by cable, to the top of
the Empire State Building, where a large transmitter broadcast the game to the lucky
few who owned a television in those days. A top-of-the-line set in 1939, a Clifton, sold
for about $600.
Notable Fordham players who appeared in the game include Len Eshmont and
Dominic Principe, who went on to play in the professional ranks, as well as Ralph Friegden,
father of former Maryland head coach Ralph Friedgen, who scored twice in the game
and Donald Lambeau - son of Green Bay Packer legend Earl Louis "Curly" Lambeau.

• The 66 points are the most scored against the Bison by the Rams and the 45-point mar-
gin of victory is the largest in the Fordham-Bucknell series.
• The 66 points also ties the school record against a Division I team (the Rams scored 66
in 1936 and 1937 against Franklin & Marshall).
• It is the rst time in school history that the Rams scored more than 50 points in back-to-

• Fordham’s 697 yards of total oense in the Bucknell game was a Patriot League sea-
son-high and the 14th-most single game total for an NCAA FCS team last year.
CONWAY SECOND IN NCAA IN TACKLES
• Freshman linebacker James Conway nished his rookie campaign second in the NCAA
FCS in tackles/game, averaging 11.9.
• He was also second in the Patriot League and 16th in the NCAA FCS in solo tackles/
game with 5.7.
KOKOSIOUIS LED PATRIOT LEAGUE IN TD RECEPTIONS
• Senior wide receiver Fotis Kokosioulis led the Patriot League and was fourth in the
NCAA FCS in touchdown receptions with 13 in 2021..
• The 13 scoring catches tied for second most in a season in school history.
• Right behind him was junior wide out Dequece Carter, who had eleven touchdown
catches, good for a tie for second in the League and eleventh in the NCAA FCS.
• Over his career, Kokosioulis has 22 touchdown recep-
tions, third all-time at Fordham, while Carter has 18, tied
for sixth.

Greenhagen had 14 solo tackles and 17 assists. The previous record of 30 was accom-
plished three times previously since the NCAA made tackles an ocial statistic in 2000.
Others to achieve the feat include Chattanooga’s Josh Cain (2001), Norfolk State’s Kevin
Talley (2004) and Stetson’s Donald Payne (2014).
According to cbssports.com Greenhagen’s 31 tackles were the most by any player
against an FBS opponent since the NCAA began keeping records. The record was previ-
ously held by former Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray, who had 28 tackles against
Army. NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Mike Singletary notably recorded 35 tackles against
Houston and 33 tackles against Arkansas in 1978 for Baylor, but both of those games
occurred before stats were considered ocial.
Greenhagen broke a 31-year-old Patriot League single-game tackles record, a mark that
was held by Lehigh’s Lee Picariello against William. & Mary in 1990.
• Greenhagen followed the 31-tackle game with a 28-stop contest against Monmouth on
September 11.
• He recorded double gures in tackles in four of the ve games he played for the Rams
in 2021 (he recorded nine in the rst half at Lafayette before missing the second half with
an injury).
• Greenhagen led the NCAA in tackles/game (20.2) and solo tackles/game (9.2) before
suering a season-ending injury in the Lafayette game.
GREENHAGEN GETS IT DONE IN THE CLASSROOM TOO
Fordham senior linebacker Ryan Greenhagen is not only turning heads on the eld, but
he’s also doing it in the classroom.

The 2022 Season
GAME 1
Fordham 48
Wagner 31
September 1, 2022 - Hameline Field
The good news for Wagner is that Fordham quarterback Tim DeMorat will
be out of eligibility after this year. The bad news for the Seahawks is they
still had to play the Rams signal caller tonight. DeMorat completed 18 of 25
passes for 386 yards and ve touchdowns, and ran for another, as Fordham
mounted a strong second half to defeat Wagner, 48-31, on Hameline Field.
The Rams trailed 28-20 midway through the third quarter before
DeMorat connected on back-to-back scoring strikes, the rst a 44-yarder
to Fotis Kokosioulis, and the second a 44-yarder to Garrett Cody, to put
the Rams up 34-28 with 30 seconds left in the third.
DeMorat let his feet do the work on the next score, scampering in
from two yards out with just over four minutes remaining and Trey Sneed
nished o the scoring for the Rams with a four-yard run with 2:12 on the
clock, giving Fordham a 48-28 lead.
Kokosioulis nished with nine catches for 150 yards and the score
while MJ Wright also caught a pair of touchdowns.
On the ground, Julius Loughridge picked up his rst career 100-yard
rushing game, gaining 114 yards on 20 carries.
Defensively, Ryan Greenhagen led Fordham with nine total tackles,
including 1.5 for loss and one sack, while Jonathan Coste added seven
stops, including a sack.
