Answers
1. 25¢ + 25¢ + 25¢ + 25¢ + 10¢ + 10¢ + 10¢ + 10¢ - 50¢
= 90¢
Michael had 90 cents left.
2. 5¢ + 5¢ + 5¢ + 1¢ + 1¢ = 17¢
Alexander has $10.17.
3. 78¢ - 25¢ - 25¢ = 28¢
Isabella had $1.28 left.
4. 25¢ + 25¢ + 10¢ + 10¢ + 10¢ + 5¢ - 60¢ = 25¢
They have 25¢ after buying the pack of candies.
5. 25¢ + 5¢ + 5¢ + 5¢ = 40¢
Evelyn has $1.40.
Evelyn has more money.
6. 10¢ + 10¢ + 10¢ + 5¢ + 5¢ = 40¢
Grace has 40¢.
After Abby gives Grace a quarter, Grace has 65¢ and
Abby has 56¢ - 25¢ = 31¢
So, Abby has less money.
